Death Ride

Drove to Ridgeway today (Friday)ready for the start of the Colorado Death Ride tomorrow at 2 am - 225 miles, 16000 feet of climbing! I will be using my SPOT so hopefully you will be able to track me! There was a meeting a little earlier and supposedly it is going to be 40 degrees in Silverton in the morning! Should be interesting. The guy who organises it all spoke at the meeting - he completed the ride in just over 12 hours last year - slowest was 16 - I have up to 19 hours to get a recorded time!! Sounds like fun! I have all my stuff laid out so am just off to bed ready for a 1 am wake up! Am excited and a bit nervous. Looking forward to riding my road bike - fairly confident it is all in good working condition ( why was I hearing some clonking sounds earlier?) Good night!
