Day 1 in Kenya

The crossing from Ethiopia into Kenya at Moyale marks the beginning of the “meltdown” portion of this section. It takes 6 riding days to cross the unpaved lava expanse of northern Kenya’s Dida Galgalu desert, which for long stretches redefines the words bumpy and corrugated. The first of these 6 days is completed! And the 5th day out of 7 before a rest day!! Today's tracker shows Paul having to retrace his steps at one stage - oh dear - that's never good!!
