Day 42 - Reliving the Past

Leaving Lewisburg - was immediately faced with a big hill - same pattern as yesterday - big climbs and descents! Finally a really steep climb of 700 m followed by a decent downhill where I managed to catch up with some slow trucks. Afternoon got easier- where the morning had been really slow - I was only averaging about 10 miles per hour but the afternoon was faster as the terrain changed and I was cycling alongside rivers and through valleys.

I went past Camp Woodward - that show I always watch on television - quite funny to cycle past so close - I could see the kids playing on trampolines and in a skate park - looked cool! Finally finished the day in Lewisville - having cycled a distance of about 115 miles - last century plus day - looking at about 99 miles tomorrow and 87 on Friday if all goes to plan! Just as well as not sure my legs can take much more - they were not happy with those hills earlier today! Definitely looking forward to a good rest!
